Mida was established in the year 1928 by late Mr. Sailendra Krishna Mitra. He started the business from his home at Konnagar, situated in the suburb of Calcutta (Kolkata), the East of India.
Mr. Mitra carefully composed traditional recipies for Chutneys, Pickles, Sauces, Curry Powder and Pastes from various places of his visit in India and enjoyed sharing his home made preparations with his family members and friends. He thus laid the foundation of sharing and perfecting the secret behind every dish - A philosophy deeply rooted and which now has become the mission statement of the Company
Mida's products comprise Traditional Chutneys, Tangy Tasty Pickles, Sauces, Authentic Pastes for evolved tastes, Original Indian Curry Powder, Pappadums, a wide range of Cooking Sauces, Delicious Ready to Eat Meals, Green Pepper in Brine, Alphanso Mango Pulp, Alphanso Mango Slices etc and are exported to the UK, USA, Canada, Germany, Netherlands, France, Belgium, Italy, Greece, Switzerland, Czech Republic, Poland, Slovak, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Singapore, Malaysia, Hongkong, Thailand, China, Taiwan, Peru, Argentina and other countries. Today, Mida operates its production unit at Konnagar, near Kolkata which is equipped with modern food processing and latest blending machineries. Mida's team of experts travel every nook and corner of India to hand choose and select ingredients, blended to perfection with sugar, exotic and aromatic spices and most fragrant herbs to ensure the exciting rich taste and full bodied flavour.
